Hello, World!

I am Ara Hili. I was born in 2001, and reborn in 2023.

I am a reader. To me, medium does not matter, genre does not matter; if the story has a good character, a good idea, then I will love it. As of now, my favorite novel is Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird. I own and read a vintage copy of it, from J. B. Lippincott & Co's 34th printing.

I am trying to become a writer as well. My current project is Reversed Spear, which is a 30,000-word Stoic illustrated novel about two assassins — named Scarlet and named Azure — and about the female American President Amethyst; and other than that, I maintain a notebook-dossier — titled Jurisprudence — in which I list traits, from every writer whom I read, which either I adopt in my writing, or am considering adopting, or consciously reject.

For reading, I use a Kindle Basic 2022, which I bought in 2023 with a gracious friend's loan. For writing, I use a 0.9 millimeter Pentel GraphGear 1000; and for highlighting I use a blue Pentel Orenz PP505 — 0.5 millimeter — with blue Pentel Ain Stein lead, and a red Pentel Orenz PP505 — also 0.5 millimeter — with red Pentel Ain Stein lead.

I struggle with nearly-suicidal depression; and in 2023, I attempted suicide. From my father, I inherited OCD. I am medicated.
